WECAN provides a forum to discuss how and when to collaborate, share the workload, and involve one another. WECAN is not a legal entity but an informal network that retains WECAN’s independence. WECAN membership includes over 20 European cancer patient organizations. Our mission is to act as a well-coordinated cancer patient community towards all stakeholders by building levels of trust, collaboration, alignment, and mutual support between pan-European cancer patient umbrella organizations. Our goals: • To strengthen cancer patient advocacy in Europe and improve outcomes for all cancer patients • To increase the level of alignment, collaboration, and mutual support between pan-European cancer patient umbrella organizations • To share the workload when contributing to different stakeholder initiatives • To build knowledge, expertise, and skills of the cancer patient community and stakeholders
