Mission In 1987, two teachers founded Novel Units at their kitchen table in Palatine, Illinois. ECS Learning Systems, Inc. acquired Novel Units in July 1998 and relocated the business to Bulverde, Texas. From the beginning, our company mission has been to help teachers build a quality literature program that fosters love of literature. Purpose Love of literature is at the heart of what we do.
