Our expert staff work around the clock with clients at every stage of the production process: from creating pitch winning mood films and treatments, through budgeting and pre-production, to on-set rights clearance and final licence negotiations - on time and usually below budget. Where we came from Founder Jody Winterbottom started out at Getty Images, eventually running Creative Stills Sales into Central Europe. He then helped set up and subsequently ran the London office of the German footage library Framepool before founding The Director Studio in 2010 as the next step in an extensive career in research and licensing. Jody has developed a massive international network of directors, film-makers, archives, freelance researchers and producers that we can call upon around the clock to meet our clients’ needs.
