Emily Grace Jewellery
www.emilygracejewellery.comI think every material and gemstone should be loved, regardless of its weaknesses. The jewellery industry can be a harsh critic and turn its nose up to any material that doesn't fit it’s strict criteria: Internally flawless stones, transparent clarity or cut to absolute precision. But at Emily Grace Jewellery I’m here to rescue those unloved, unwanted babies! There is no reason why their blemishes should be overshadowed, I actually champion them. There may be a deep rooted tradition in my industry, but there are no rules when it comes to the way I design. I’ve spent many years now literally wading through draws and draws of pearls, asking gem dealers for their oldest stock and purchasing through feelings not rules. Resin is another material that has been overlooked. One of my most favourited materials, because its versatility is unmatched. A friend once scoffed at my idea of using resin for jewellery. After all, it is a plastic, well known as an adhesive or a coating material. But as a Leo, I have way too much pride to be laughed at. So…here we are a few years later with a collection full of colour, showcasing what resin is really capable of. I’ve worked tirelessly to bring the humble resin to the forefront of jewellery design. I hope I’ve done her proud. My mission at Emily Grace Jewellery is to continue to create colourful and refreshing jewellery without constraint. I cannot reinvent the wheel, but I can definitely refresh it!
