Marchmont Makers Foundation is a registered charity supporting the arts. Our goal is support sustainable creativity, inspiration and purpose in the arts and crafts, with a special focus upon the Scottish Borders where Marchmont House is located. It is part of a broader purpose of the Marchmont family of organisations to inspire sustainable creativity in the arts, crafts, business and social enterprise. Whilst the funds available are limited initially, we hope and plan that this will grow over time, offering grants to support creativity, artist residencies and organisations in the arts in the Scottish Borders and beyond. An initial test program is supporting residencies at Marchmont House Creative Spaces, in partnership with The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Visual Arts Scotland. Some select supporting donations have been awarded by the Trustees for local causes that we believe are in alignment with our mandate.
