Using the principles and methods of Effective Altruism, we help citizens' movements by building the teams, developing the strategies, and spreading the know-how needed to win a just, free and habitable world. At the moment, we are strongly focused on combatting the climate crisis. Citizen movements can build momentum for a cause quickly and bring on rapid, large-scale change. We expect a great impact from helping to build movements very systematically for longevity, effective cooperation, and unusually well-informed strategic decision-making. Knowledge about *what* is wrong with the world and knowledge about *how* to change it are two entirely different categories of knowledge. To achieve success, citizens have to do a better job mastering the latter. That's where our expertise at Future Matters Project lies.
