The Department of Mathematical Sciences is runs four educational programs in the mathematical disciplines: Mathematics, Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Technology and Statistics (only candidate). The Department's research is widely recognized both nationally and internationally. It is the Department's strategy that our research is based on two pillars, each of which is equally important: * The strategic / application-oriented research that can be applied immediately or in the short term for the benefit of the surrounding community. * The fundamental research that has understanding and recognition as its primary objective. This research does not immediately apply to specific applications, but provides an important basis for future applications.
