Founded in 2014 by Doug Waterman, Jr., Millennials for a Better Pennsylvania is an organization that strives to unite young Pennsylvanians everywhere in order to create a powerful social and political force. When we are united and active, we can change policy to benefit not only our generation but our Commonwealth as well. When young people stand up and use their collective voice, Pennsylvania can reap the rewards of a vibrant and active electorate. Young Pennsylvanians are the future of the Commonwealth and if we continue to allow apathy to reign supreme, Pennsylvania will suffer the consequences of a stagnant society and economy. Millennials for a Better Pennsylvania embraces a vision that transcends party ideology and petty partisan politics. We strive to maintain a non-partisan mentality because solutions to our problems will not come from one party or another, they come from people from all walks of life. What Millennials for a Better Pennsylvania seeks to accomplish is to harness the power of the Millennial Generation and use that power to effect real and lasting change that benefits all Pennsylvanians. What we also seek to accomplish is to ensure that young Pennsylvanians are not ignored or discounted. We seek to formulate and support policies that address the needs of the Millennial Generation. Issues such as affordable housing, education, student loan debt, minority rights, and employment are profound among young people in our Commonwealth. Millennials for a Better Pennsylvania will work tirelessly to ensure that these issues are taken seriously and that solutions are found. We owe it to ourselves to assure our future generations yet to come, will be able to enjoy safety and financial security. When we are afforded such things, our society reaps dividends that will pay off for years to come.
