"Be the change you want to see in the world," is the phrase that inspired us to start the NGO 1000 Smiles. A better world has children smiling. This has been our mission since 2016. Our goal is not, for the time being, to solve all the problems and needs of these needy children, but to bring a little joy and keep hope alive within them. We believe that with small joint efforts, everything can be improved. Right now, what we want is to bring smiles to these children, especially during the Christmas season, and to help them cope with their harsh reality. Our first action was in 2016. The initial goal was to collect and donate 1000 toys and bring smiles to these needy children. From this objective was born the name of the NGO; 1000 SMILES. We expanded the action in an organized manner, increasing our impact year by year: In 2017 we were able to distribute toys to 2,000 children and by 2018 we have reached 10,000 children. This year we want to make 20,000 children smile. You are critical to the success of this campaign and can help us in some ways: 1. Donation of new toys. 2.
