The Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME), a collaboration between Coventry University and Unipart Manufacturing Group, is creating an internationally acclaimed learning experience that blends the brightest academic minds with access to cutting edge manufacturing and R&D. Students will study in both the UK’s first ever purpose-built ‘Faculty on the Factory Floor’, a state-of-the-art learning hub equipped with the latest in automation, welding and robotic lines and the new Engineering and Computing building at Coventry University. This is complemented by access to a team of academics, engineering professionals and professors, who boast specialisms in metrology, manufacturing systems, mechanical systems and design. Students will learn on live manufacturing projects and have unrivaled access to anchor technologies, including joining, forming, process analysis, verification and materials.
