From little things, big things grow. Booran Holden first opened in 1965, in Booran Road, Caulfield. From one site, selling and servicing GM brands Holden and Vauxhall, the group has grown into one of the biggest privately-owned automotive groups in Australia. Booran expanded alongside the Holden brand, taking up permanent residence in Cheltenham in early 1991. In 1995 the group expanded the Holden franchise into Dandenong, and four years later we added the Suzuki and Peugeot franchises to an ever-growing Dandenong location. Cranbourne Holden opened in May 2004, while in 2010 we introduced KIA at our Cheltenham location. In 2012 we added Hyundai in Berwick and South Morang to complement the group. In 2016 Booran Motors acquired two new dealerships: Dandenong Mitsubishi and Dandenong Hyundai. Midway through 2017 we successfully acquired the Volkswagen brand in Frankston. Our dealership group continued it's expansion with franchises including our second Kia dealership, 2 MG franchises, Skoda and Isuzu Ute over the later part of 2018 through to early 2019. Our 3rd Kia dealership, which is also linked with a Nissan dealership is our next acquisition which commenced September 2019. Continued growth to our MG franchises with the newest dealership opening mid 2022 in Berwick. The Booran Group employs over 300 people and is one of the most progressive businesses of its kind in the motor industry. We pride ourselves on being family-owned and operated for over two generations. Our large, long term, loyal employee base provides vast industry knowledge.
