Wavecomm is a company operating in the area of electronics, antennas and sensor engineering. Wavecomm was founde as a spin-off company of the Dept. of Information Engineering of the University of Siena. The company has strong expertise wireless technologies for short, medium and long range communications: 1. RFID: Wavecomm design and provides access control systems based on UHF RFID technology, for both people and vehicles. 2. Wireless sensor networks (WSN): Wavecomm provides wireless solutions for remote monitoring and control applications. 3. Machine-to-machine (M2M): Wavecomm provides solutions for long-range remote control of devices, based on GSM/GPRS technology. Wavecomm provides custom design of RF systems and components, including antennas, transceivers, LNAs, power generators, sensors. Wavecomm is actively involved in R&D projects, on several topics, including: a. Public transportation: RFID and WSN-based solution for identification, localization and user information of vehicles in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems. b.
