Darker Than Wax is an underground electronic music label based on the island of Singapore, breaking all bounds and grounds progressing the music scene in their city and influencing globally. We advocate diversity and depth in music; bringing people together through a growing stable of artists, selectors and like-minded souls worldwide; gathering, conversing, exchanging and creating, using music as the medium. Endorsed by tastemakers like Gilles Peterson, Lefto, jamz supernova, king Britt and many more numerous tastemakers and platforms worldwide, the Singapore-based label is widely respected for its attention to diversity and detail. Though essentially a music label, we have developed over the past five years into a multi faceted entity. Starting out as just music purveyors and artists initially, to gaining new strengths and skills crucial in today’s dynamic scene, such as design, communications, marketing, event organisation, A&R, merchandising, promotions, and of course, live performance. All aspects are handled in house with a tight team based both in Singapore as well as New York.
