Västmanlandsmusiken is seated in Västerås. Our mission is to provide and enable music and contemporary dance in our region. Our main departments are Länsmusiken, Västerås Sinfonietta and Västerås Concert Hall. Länsmusiken cooperates mainly with freelancing musicians, choreographers and dancers. Västerås Sinfonietta is a chamber orchestra which cooperates with contemporary composers alongside their classical program. Västmanlandsmusiken present, in collaboration with local organizers, more than 750 acts per year with international, national and local artists. Our main venue is Västerås Concert Hall which can seat over 900 persons in the audience. But a great part of our concerts and performances are held in different venues across the region. In addition the Concert Hall is let out to productions companies and events.
