Founded in 1956, the NUS Chinese Society (NUS CS) has spearheaded the promotion of Chinese Culture within the NUS community and the nation. Each year under the auspices of NUS CS, talented students are able to find their place in six interest groups, honing their skills and presenting excellent productions to the community. The society also organises three nation-wide cultural competitions which have great influence amongst the nation’s young talents. NUS CS vision is to be a leading society led by students, for students, to promote Chinese culture in NUS and the nation. Their mission is to promote greater understanding of and rootedness in Chinese culture, and promote multi-cultural interactions.
