We specialize in the development of enabling and disruptive technologies for the drilling industries; be they oil, gas, geothermal, EGS/HFR etc. We tend to thrive in the "too-hard" basket - the gnarlier the problem the better we like it although for obvious commercial reasons, we will only embark on a development project if we are confident that there is a market for the product or service sought. Some of our initiatives are truly disruptive - products that address a failing that had either never before been identified or if it had, nothing had been down about it. We also like to quote Clarke's third law "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" and indeed, at least one of our developments falls partially into this category. We do however, recognize that drilling is a hugely risky business and in order to verify the efficacy of our technologies, we undertake extensive empirical testing. FEA, CFD, CAD/CAM are essential tools in our quest to produce the best technology we know how. In fact some of our products fall into the me-too category but with the addition of modern-day analysis techniques to raise the performance bar for what in some cases, is decades-old technology.
