What is A.C.W.A. Combatives? A.C.W.A. Combatives is a non-sport, reality based, self defense system designed to answer the problems we face in today's world. It draws heavily from WWII Combatives, but also uses practical fundamentals from various other Combative systems. Its purpose is not for fighting, but to provide solutions for dealing with, and extricating from an attack situation in as an efficient manner as possible. The system is build around concepts & truths, not techniques. It teaches visceral yet highly efficient mechanics thus allowing one to work smart, not hard. The A.C.W.A. Combatives system studies the entire force continuum. It covers everything from awareness to verbal conflict de-escalation, from control theory to hand-to-hand combatives, from urban survival to weapons use and disarms. The system melds psychology with gross motor mechanics to provide us not just the “how”, but the understanding of “why” we function and think like we do. The ultimate goal of A.C.W.A.
