During his time there, he created both the Faber Wind Band and Faber Brass Band Series and signed the composers Kenneth Hesketh, Simon Dobson and Gavin Higgins among others. He was the in-house editor for the entire brass and wind band catalogues and was also the in-house arranger for many other composers in the Faber stable, most notably Nigel Hess, Jonathan Dove, Matthew Hindson and Carl Davis. Many of his earlier arrangements are published by Faber. Since leaving Faber, Phillip has created his own marketing consultancy, working with firms in a wide range of industries that do not have a full marketing function, yet need help with with business development, brand awareness, marketing products and services. In January 2012 he created Timbercroft Publishing, through which he will continue to bring new composers to the brass band and wind band worlds, as well as enabling him to continue arranging for both genres.
