Simon Tolley Wines

You can't be a fifth generation grape grower without developing intuitive knowledge of how quality fruit makes great wine. It's in Simon’s blood. The result is a range of classic Adelaide Hills cool-climate wines that proudly carry the Simon Tolley stamp. Simon Tolley's family history with the wine industry dates back to South Australia’s early years of settlement. Simon's ancestors began trading in wines and spirits in 1874. In 1892 they developed Tolley Wines vineyards at Hope Valley. Tolley's are continuing a tradition of viticultural excellence from its 27-hectare family vineyard at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills. Simon holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Viticultural Science, 1998). He’s managed many vineyards, from the Padthaway and Naracoorte regions (lower South East, SA) to the Clare Valley and McLaren Vale (SA), as well as at Margaret River, WA. Returning to the Adelaide Hills, he first worked in a technical role, then later as contract services manager and a regional manager. Coming home reinforced his belief that the Hills always was the best place to create fine wine.
