Argentina needs a creative transformation, one that may help sort out a chaotic present and introduce a horizon of basic predictability, requirements needed to restore hope and confidence. It is evident that no one has ever found a solution by following fundamentalist ideas, or by seeking to corroborate obscure or alternative theories that subject societies to a constant sense of frustration. We are convinced that the answers to most of the problems that ail us will be found by actively working together, supported by values that unite us, and above all else, as free individuals. That is why we believe that the search for solutions should be holistic and organic. The answers today tend to be cross-sectional and are based on foundations and actions that not only restore a certain logical order to things, but also enable for the wasted energies of society to be channeled towards the individual and collective construction of an equitably shared future. We also see culture as a cross-cutting concept, broad and strongly influenced by the transformation we are experiencing today. Art, popular music, theater and literature are cultural acts, but so are showing respect for others and respecting people´s freedoms to act within the laws of the land. How we learn to work and even to play with others, are all shared cultural factors. This transversality means that cultural values in a society are not only affected by external factors, but they also influence everything they touch by promoting change from within. Hence its strategic importance. If we want a fairer society, with more opportunities, security and inclusion, we must work on these issues. It is difficult to obtain the long-term economic sustainability that we yearn for Argentina, without a social ethos that fosters merit, that is proud of individual and collective success, and one that also teaches us how to build on the achievements attained and then to sustain growth as culturally shared accomplishments.
