To value ourselves and others for who we are, and not on the basis of a chronological number. — Mission. Our mission is to spread the benefits of thinking beyond chronological age within the design and business communities, and across all industry sectors. We do this by: — sharing knowledge and influencing government and policymakers’ approach to design and innovation from an age-neutral perspective. — working with industry and academia to support real economic and social benefits based on needs, desires, values, and interest; not age. — working with media, marketing and advertising to promote and champion positive age-neutral communications. — working with citizens of all ages to show the opportunities of rethinking the limitations of chronological age. — What do we do? The Commonland is part design + innovation lab, part research unit, and part campaigner. — We help organisations understand and respond to the dramatic demographic changes taking place. — We offer a unique approach — The Commonland Methodology™ — to industry and academics to overcome age barriers that negatively limit innovation for the betterment of society and the economy. — We work with academia, business and industry to map, innovate and measure products, services and places to live and work which work for more people across the life course.
