BLEU KOBALT (previously Maha Productions) is a Paris-based documentary film production company headed by Patrice Gellé, and chaired by Stefan Mathieu. BLEU KOBALT is a subsidiary of KOBALT DOCUMENTARY and the German group KOBALT (http://kobalt.de/en/), established in Berlin since 1997 and a major independent producer in Germany. BLEU KOBALT in France relies on the prestigious legacy of Maha Productions from which it bought the documentary and fiction portfolio (Maha won the Oscar® for best documentary « Murder on a Sunday Morning » in 2002). Among our productions are: « Titanic: Into The Heart of the Wreck » with the participation of France Télévisions, ZDF Terra X, Channel 4, History Channel US and distributed by Off The Fence (ZDFe); « In Search of the Orient-Express » in coproduction with Arte, BBC Studios - Together and distributed by Wild Bunch - aired on Rai, SBS Australia and Viatsat World. By developing an editorial and artistic line both modern and exacting, BLEU KOBALT's ambition is to work with international writers/directors and scriptwriters and major international broadcasters, streamers and film distributors.
