Bethany University is a four-year private coeducational university located in Scotts Valley, California, in Santa Cruz County. It operated from 1919 and was endorsed by AG USA, the denomination's oldest college. It was formerly called Glad Tidings Bible Institute, Bethany Bible College and Bethany College. Its athletic teams were known as the Bruins, and it was a member of the NAIA in the California Pacific Conference. The university offered a number of undergraduate and graduate programs including Addiction Studies, Business Administration, Child Development, Communications, English, Liberal Arts, Liberal Studies, Music, Organizational Management, Psychology, Social Science, Sports Management, Teacher Preparation, etc.
