Oil painter /educator Susan Miller-Havens love of the Arts started as a child. She was equally interested in people, their minds and bodies. Her career as a professional oil painter is her second, the first being 20 years in medicine and psychology. The first is reflected in the figurative and abstract images of these 2nd two decades. She works at following Degas instruction to artists, that it is their responsibility to bring to the viewer, by means of the brush, the artist's unique ability to visually and psychologically see certain aspects of life and nature. Her paintings are collected and exhibited through out the United States England and Germany, two of which hand in The National Portrait Gallery The Smithsonian Washington D C USA
