If you are looking for break into the music industry then it is really a case of starting at the bottom and working your way up. Skills and traits that are valuable in landing that first job include good communication and PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), commitment, being a quick learner with strong attention to detail and being able to show initiative. Professional qualifications also help.
