Australian National Low Emissions Coal Research and Development (ANLEC R&D) is an Australian Government Partnership with the Australian Coal Industry to enable and accelerate the deployment of low emissions technologies for coal fired power generation. ANLEC R&D plays an important and prominent role in delivering the science that underpins and enables the sustainable use of coal in a low emissions future. ANLEC R&D has invested over $100M in research and development activities supporting Carbon Capture and Storage in the Surat Basin in Queensland, the Gippsland Basin in Victoria and the South Perth Basin in Western Australia. In the last eight years of operation, it has delivered over 100 reports and publications that assist these Australian proponents progress their deployment interests at commercial scale.
