Hefei Normal University (HFNU) is one of the earliest universities participating in Postgraduate Training Program for Meeting Nation's Special Needs. The former is Anhui Education University, established in 1955, and rebuilt as tertiary institution governed by Anhui Province in 2007. By the end of the year 2019, there are three campuses in total, covering more than 860,000 square meters. The number of lecturers exceeds 1,000, students more than 18,000, 15 colleges and 47 majors.
