The after-school robotics club at The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology in Lawrenceville, GA has been active since 2007. Currently, we participate in three league play divisions: VEX - Robotics Education and Competition Foundation, First Robotics Challenge, and First Technology Challenge. with a total of 11 teams and 130 members. The GSMST Robotics club is an integral extension of two of the three academic pillars of The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. We support education of students in engineering and emerging technologies. Thus, GSMST’s Robotics club focuses on exciting and inspiring other students in the field of robotics. The club also looks out into the larger community to introduce other students to the field of robotics. This is accomplished through demonstration of the educational value of a STEM curriculum. The club members and teams are encouraged to support robotics learning in other elementary and middle schools through after school programs and learning camps. Educate, Compete, and Serve the Community!
