Our company is a family owned business. In 1968, Steven Blackburn began cleaning before high school, for two friends who had a small cleaning business. Steven was still in high school, and did the work early in the morning. By 1969, the two friends were leaving the area and asked Steven if he wanted to take over the customer list. He jumped at the opportunity, and started Steve’s Janitorial. In 1970 he married Irene, and she helped him to grow the business. When my in-laws started this company almost 50 years ago. They worked hard to create uniform standards that were consistent to every client they had. At that time, their customer needs were rapidly changing, but they didn't compromise their values of professionalism, honesty and reliability. Now, as we look back over the last half-century, we can proudly say we still value those same principles. We have an unusual level of customer loyalty. We still have a reputation for excellent cleaning, professionalism, and fast response to customer needs, now more than ever.
