The Ajubatus Foundation was founded in 1992 with the hopes to conserve iconic African wildlife. In fact, our name "Ajubatus" stands for cheetah in latin (Acinonyx jubatus or A. jubatus). Our inception was inspired by Martin Luther King's quote which says, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". In other words, the foundation was birthed into a higher sense of purpose by being a pillar for conservation in Kruger National Park, South Africa. As a result, the Ajubatus Foundation has grown to become a research and educational organization at heart. We have collaborated with Kruger National Park to facilitate endangered species research; allowed university students to have exclusive access to conservation activities within the park; and we now host university courses at Stellenbosch University to shed light into the importance of conservation.
