Philokalia Music Institute, known till 2018 as « Saint Rafqa Music Institute », was founded and directed by S. Marana Saad since 2010. According to Philokalia mission, the music Institute aims to educate, promote and inspire its students to attain their musical potential and to leave a mark in the musical field, providing them with both theoretical and practical disciplines and by developing their capacities throughout their educational path, the institute aims to provide them with professional stability. The Institute has a highly experienced and qualified teaching board, able to combine between the traditional, classical, and modern programs – oriental and occidental, that satisfies the professional requirements and the needs of our current modern time, while contributing to the students’ success and future achievements. The Institute promotes a friendly atmosphere, an environment of responsibility and solidarity between teachers, students, and families. A comity of experts will assume responsibility and establish the methods and criteria to follow for the proper functioning of the Musical Institute. Moreover, the institute organizes auditions, concerts in different genres and liturgical celebrations. It rolls-out significant activities in the musical research domain, as well as artistic mediation, in the publication of academic programs, and the recording of oriental and classical, sacred, and secular music.
