More than 1000 Saudi students come to Vancouver annually to study at different universities and colleges. The Saudi Students Society of British Columbia (SSSBC) serves all Saudi students throughout their stay in Canada. SSSBC helps students settle in Vancouver on their arrival by guiding them throughout the transition period they go through and helping them find accommodation, cars and furniture. SSSBC keeps students connected to the Saudi Embassy and the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau in Ottawa. SSSBC organizes weekly cultural, educational, social (monthly dinners and Eid celebrations..etc) and sports activities (Soccer, Billiard and table tennis tournaments), these activities come after a busy week to relief students and their families and strengthen the bonds among community members.
