The Center for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability is a Foundation, an Associated Institute at the School of Management Fribourg (HEG-FR), and a Think Tank. The Center aims to explore the role of the private sector in promoting sustainable development at the local and global levels. The focus is on developing practice-oriented knowledge that helps to shape the institutional framework in politics and business in such a way that it leads to a more sustainable society. In this way, the CCRS also contributes to strengthening Switzerland as an innovative and future-oriented center of thought and business. Our vision Sustainability is based on the ability of people to shape the future with responsibility and to change it through innovation. However, the readiness for sustainable change requires entrepreneurial freedom and a contextual and dynamic understanding of sustainability in society. The realization that sustainability must be future-proof is deeply rooted in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. Research at CCRS focuses on those sustainability principles that have a strong focus on inclusive and sustainable growth.
