Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District is a proud district in a tight knit beach community located in Lee County. Lee County is found in beautiful South West Florida. It consists of three stations and covers 10 square miles. The district protects about 6500 full time residents and approximately 3500 residences. The community relies heavily on tourism, retail, and dining. The district has two main roads that run through it. On the main land, San Carlos Blvd. This road turns into Estero Blvd after you cross the bridge and enter the Island. This district is extremely seasonal and 1.8 million visitors come to our beach community a year. It is also a spring break hot spot bringing even more people to the area for the few party months. The district has three engines, two of which are front line, and one quint (ladder and pumper). It also houses three ALS ambulances, two of which are front line. Every apparatus is ALS certified. The personnel work 24 hours on shift and 48 hours off shift. This shift work consists of 3 shifts each staffing 15 personnel. The total district staffing is 54 personnel with prevention and administration.
