Under this new label Pighi wants to release his music the way he’s always wanted. Not just his productions, mind, but all those blinding tunes he looks for when crate-digging or net-surfing. Mint Condition Records won’t be a genre-label, though. The idea is to embrace a wide array of sounds and beats: from the afrobossa flavours of “Weekaaroo” to the new-jazz of “Wasabo” and the deeper-than-deep house of “Zuco” or “Pigtylus”. These are just a few cuts that could well describe Mint’s attitude to everyone caring to listen.
