AFAA distinguishes itself by cultivating an environment where the power of the Gospel is displayed through the creativity of the arts. We aim to make Jesus Christ the center of all we do by “…offering to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe…” (Hebrews 12:28) Alamance Fine Arts Academy (AFAA) is a Christ-centered fine arts studio located in downtown Burlington, NC. We offer classes in theatre, visual art, and several genres of dance. Our instructors are well-trained in their art form, and each has a heart for training students in correct technique while also demonstrating the arts as a form of worship. Our 3-story, spacious facility has three dance studios; a visual art studio; a gallery with a stage used for theatre classes and in-house productions and events; as well as prop and costume rooms and administrative offices. AFAA’s student body is primarily made up of youth, ages 3-18; however, we also offer classes for adults. When our classes are in session on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, the halls are buzzing with laughter, conversation, and students coming and going.
