Assistance League volunteers feed, clothe, mentor and educate at-risk children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community through five philanthropic programs: Operation Check Hunger, Operation School Bell®, Mecklenburg County Teen Court, Assistance League Scholarship Fund, Assistance League Outreach and Assistance League Heart of the Home. These programs are funded in part from proceeds of the Assistance League Thrift Shop located at 5426 Old Pineville Road. Store hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10-4. Donations of gently used items are greatly appreciated during our Saturday hours. Assistance League of Charlotte is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families through community-based philanthropic programs.
