The pioneer Anglophone state university in Cameroon founded in 1993. Twenty-three years later the university boasts ten establishments and over fifty departments offering everything from Accounting to Zoology to a student population of over 20,000 on average. The mission of the University of Buea is to provide opportunities for quality Anglo-Saxon style education through teaching and research in an environment that is conducive to such pursuits and in ways that respond to market forces.
