FirstPerson Narratives

www.first-person.org

@first-person, we connect through art-making, improv, embodied movement, songs, and story. Our mission is to co-create, fund, and foster developmental adversity-competent/self-healing-centered (DAC/SHC) community storytelling programs where adults who are neurobiologically impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can cultivate the capacity to explore, resolve, and integrate their self-healing. We're in the start-up phase, designing the FirstPerson Narratives, Working Ensembles Model – a paid, peer mentorship program that seeds safe, community-resourced spaces where players strengthen the healing-centered workforce and generate engaged, NEAR Science-informed communities. At FirstPerson, players will find their voice to re-story the history they were born into, amplify the narrative they choose to live, and document what they want to share for posterity. We envision universal, equitable access to NEAR Science-competent programs that promote brain/body integration, the restoration of self-identity, and the information and tools needed to disrupt the intergenerational transmission of ACEs.
