A therapist-owned, community-based, private practice of pediatric occupational therapy employing more than 30 occupational therapists who deliver evaluation (including the SIPT) and assessment, intervention and treatment, consultation and in-service training at four convenient practice locations in Anderson, Blue Ash, Fairfield and Newtown, as well as in public, private and charter schools; and virtual classrooms. COTI operates Camp OdakOTa (a Sioux word meaning, "friend") each summer offering children with Sensory Processing challenges the same day camping experience as neurotypical peers. COTI also offers summer groups which feature small groups of children having fun with playful and imaginative therapists who enable the children to work on motor and social skills. COTI has partnered with the Young Child Institute in Connections for Life, a United Way program meeting the needs of children suffering from complex trauma through a groundbreaking approach. COTI's President & CEO, Deborah A. Whitcomb, PhD, MBA, OTR/L, also serves as the President of the Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Foundation, Board Member of the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association, Co-Chairwoman of the Cincinnati District of the OOTA, member of the Advisory Board at Xavier University's Occupational Therapy Program, and member of the Dean of Professional Sciences Advisory Board. She is the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) 2014 Virginia Scardina Award recipient and the 2011 AOTF Community Volunteerism award recipient.
