COTI has partnered with the Young Child Institute in Connections for Life, a United Way program meeting the needs of children suffering from complex trauma through a groundbreaking approach. Whitcomb, PhD, MBA, OTR/L, also serves as the President of the Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Foundation, Board Member of the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association, Co-Chairwoman of the Cincinnati District of the OOTA, member of the Advisory Board at Xavier University's Occupational Therapy Program, and member of the Dean of Professional Sciences Advisory Board. She is the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) 2014 Virginia Scardina Award recipient and the 2011 AOTF Community Volunteerism award recipient.
