Richmont Mines was acquired by Alamos Gold Inc. as of November 23, 2017. Island Gold is a long-life, high-grade underground mine with growing production that complements Alamos’ existing low-cost operations in Canada and Mexico and the company's growth portfolio of development projects in Canada, Turkey, and the United States. Alamos is a Canadian-based intermediate gold producer with diversified production from four operating mines in North America. This includes the Young-Davidson and Island Gold mines in north and northwestern Ontario, Canada and the Mulatos and El Chanate mines in Sonora State, Mexico.
