The Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) has five core services: 1 - an independent, timely and fair review of decisions made under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (IP Act) 2 - an independent and timely privacy complaint resolution service 3 - fostering improvements in the quality of practice in right to information and information privacy in public sector agencies 4 - promoting the principles and practices of right to information and information privacy in the community and within government. 5 - assist agencies to achieve compliance with the privacy principles. OIC also provide a range of online services and information and resources to assist community and government understand their rights and responsibilities under the RTI and IP Act.
