Penderyn Distillery was the first distillery in Wales in over 100 years. Established in 2000 after a chat in a local pub, Penderyn has won over 70 international Gold and Master Medals, and exports to over 48 countries. #HomeOfWelshWhisky The main distillery is in Penderyn, in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales, and a new distillery in Llanduno, North Wales opened in May 2021. Tours are available at both distilleries. Penderyn use an unique Faraday Still, and now have three of these, which create a new make spirit at around 92%, which means Penderyn's whiskies are light, fruity and flavoursome. They also use a pair of lantern stills to experiment with new innovative whiskies. Penderyn also produces Brecon Gin, Brecon FIVE Vodka, Siddiqui Rums and Merlyn Cream Liqueur.
