Is member of National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM). Belongs to LYRASIS (merger of PALINET and SOLINET networks) network in USA. Its aim is: a) the benefit of information and research in the sectors of Biomedicine, Social Sciences and Chemistry, b) the collaboration with institutions and Organizations of Interior and Abroad and c) the Attendance of programs and World congresses that concern the science of information and research in the sectors that the Institute cover. Mission : Scientific & Biomedical Information Centre's mission is to encourage the advancement of information and research in the sectors of Biomedicine , Management, Healthcare management and Chemistry. Our goal is to encourage the collaboration of educational institutes. The Institute informs round a big number of subjects, World journalism from 1966 till today, Completed articles, articles. SBC has approximately 3.500 e-journals, text books and (full-text) e-books. Practical handbooks of World Congresses, CITATION INDEXES, Online connections with Academic centres in the United States and Germany. The library participates in NILDE an online service that allows libraries to request and supply documents in a reciprocal manner. The library participates in EIFL ,working in collaboration with libraries in more than 60 developing and transition countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, EIFL enables access to knowledge for education, learning, research and sustainable community development.The library also participates in ILL SBN, a cooperative interlibrary loan and document delivery national library service (Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale - SBN), the network Italian libraries promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, with the cooperation of regional administrations and universities. It is coordinated by the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries and for Bibliographic Information (ICCU).
