While there has been a continued awakening around diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the technology sector, it’s clear there is some way to go until it is a safe and fair place where everyone can prosper. Diverse Sussex is here to connect the dots, not to reinvent the wheel. We facilitate collaboration across organisations and sectors by curating best-practice insight to support companies improve their D&I strategies. We manage a directory of D&I initiatives to help members connect in the space. We produce annual benchmarking data to help members their progress. And spotlight the work of signatories to improve their employer brand. Membership is free, and there’s no hidden agenda. Our overarching aim is to build a comprehensive understanding of DEI in Sussex’s tech sector and where we must improve our individual and collective efforts, whilst sharing advice and resources to help businesses create positive change. Through the sharing of anonymised and aggregated data from businesses in Sussex’s tech community, we can identify where DEI challenges and imbalances lie within our organisations and work together to address them.
