The Asia Cold Chain Centre (ACCC), with its strategic links in countries from the Asia-Pacific Rim to the Middle East offers….. consulting, training, R & D and resource management for clients, participants and partners. The ACCC’s on-site coverage ranges from Fresh Produce growers and manufacturers to importers, consumers and supermarkets. As a result of pressing enquiries in 2008, the ACCC has extended its coverage to include…providing information, expertise and experience to the Pharmaceutical and Bio-medical industries. The ACCC has also shared expertise with Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Situational demands has led to the inclusion of new post-harvest technologies for fresh produce and products, on-site validation of producing areas, more training for producers and growers and traceability (including track and trace methods) throughout entire Supply Chains. As a member of the South Australian Freight Council’s (SAFC)Cold Chain & Quality Work Group Committee, ACCC has been party to ongoing research and development for the improvement of Fresh Produce and Products to raise the benchmarks for higher quality and extended shelf life whilst reducing contamination risk.
