Ubuntu is a word of Zulu origin that does not have a specific translation in Italian, it could be translated with “I am what I am because of others”. It is a definition that I appreciate very much and that represents the professional path that led me to creating Ubuntu Solutions. I have been involved with communication for more than twenty years. I started as a journalist, then moved towards the specialized field of public relations namely working as a press officer, social media manager, marketing manager, literary agent and event organizer. Throughout the years I have worked with wonderful people who have enriched me and pushed me to pursue my passion for communication. “I am because you are”, Ubuntu, puts itself at the centre of customer service not in a uni-directional way, nobody is considered a guru in this sector, there is merely a passion for growing a project by putting together the cultural baggage that each of us (client and provider) carries with us. I co-ordinate the development of corporate communication strategies for select clients. I study and observe entrepreneurial or social realities in my unique way and I try to enhance their image on social networks by using a considered storytelling strategy (live blogging etc), I also handle the management of website content and their blogs and media / print visibility. When my interest is peaked in an idea or a project, I try to understand what the best strategy can be to create visibility for the initiative. My strength as described by my long-time collaborator, Economist Loretta Napoleoni, “Federico is in tune with the mood of society and has the enthusiasm necessary to change things”.
