In addition to two fabrication workshops in Australia, DIAB Engineering maintains staff and permanent mining maintenance services operations at remote mining sites. Founded in 1970, in Capel, Western Australia, the name DIAB comes from the first letters of the founders’ names – David and Anne Payne; and Ian and Betty Shields. In 1976, DIAB Engineering relocated its primary maintenance and fabrication facility to the Geraldton area.
