Charlottesville Community Scholarship Program
www.cvillescholarship.comThe Charlottesville Community Scholarship Program is a unique public-private partnership established by the Charlottesville City Council in 2001. The Program provides assistance to low- and moderate-income graduates of Charlottesville, Burley, and Lane High Schools and employees of the city of Charlottesville and Charlottesville City Schools to continue their education after high school. The Program is open to high school graduates regardless of your age. Our scholarships can follow you through your entire education program, and amounts can be adjusted each year – an important fact given that many colleges front-load first-year financial aid to students. The Program is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who set the organization’s policies, selects scholarship recipients, and raises funds. There are no paid employees. The Charlottesville Community Scholarship Program is a donor-advised fund of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
