The Masters Basketball Association annually hosts the nation's most-highly acclaimed Masters Basketball National Championship Tournament. The tournament has been held for more than 30 years in Coral Springs FL (just west of Ft. Lauderdale) and attracts teams / players from across the US, Canada and beyond. Age Divisions range from 40 - 75+. The composition of players includes many former high school, college and pro athletes who continue to play at a high-level. Current and past former NBA players include Tim Hardaway, Billy Thompson, Mitchell Wiggins, Ed Pinckney, Johnny Newman, Ray Williams, Rod Strickland, Jerry "Ice" Reynolds, Bob Ferry, Artis Gilmore, LeRoy Ellis and Jim Barnett. The five day tournament is played under NCAA rules (full court, 5 v 5), with NCAA and high-level high school referees officiating the games. The 2019 Tournament will take place May 6-11.
